Rules and Information

Assignments

The competitors receive two secret assignments, which are presented at the start of the competition. The color scheme and inspiration are drawn from one of the new trends in Elmia Garden Trends (released in May). All materials are provided on-site.

Elite Competition – October 1

  • Cost: 3,000 SEK (excluding VAT)
  • Number of participants: Maximum 20

Prizes:

  • 1st prize: Travel gift card worth 10,000 SEK
  • 2nd prize: Travel gift card worth 6,000 SEK
  • 3rd prize: Travel gift card worth 3,000 SEK

Novice Competition – October 2

  • You may have participated in a maximum of three physical competitions.
  • Cost: 2,000 SEK (excluding VAT)
  • Number of participants: Maximum 20

Prizes:

  • 1st prize: Travel gift card worth 3,000 SEK
  • 2nd prize: Travel gift card worth 2,000 SEK
  • 3rd prize: Travel gift card worth 1,000 SEK

Judging

The assignments are evaluated through a blind judging process, meaning the judges do not know which florist created which piece. Each category—color, composition, idea, and technique—can receive up to 25 points. The evaluation considers composition rules, grouping techniques, rhythm, balance, proportions, external shape, color transitions, creativity, stability, and firmness.
