Elmia Nordic Rail is the most important trade fair of the year for AWI Maskin

AWI Maskin AB has been an exhibitor since 1997, and over the years the network has expanded and created new, long-term and profitable business in connection with the fair.

“We believe strongly in Elmia Nordic Rail and we’re fully confident that we’ll make valuable contacts at this year’s fair – as we have in all the other years. We have already informed our customers that we’ll be exhibiting at Elmia Nordic Rail in October,” says Fredrik Lindberg, Head of Sales for railway products at AWI Maskin AB.

AWI Maskin AB was established in 1983 and is the Nordic representative for a number of leading companies in the plastics, rubber, packaging and railway industries. “We have virtually any type of machine that might be needed in a train depot – from lifting equipment to insulated rail joints for rolling stock. Quite simply, we’re a total supplier for train depots in the Nordics, we can supply virtually everything,” says Lindberg.

Incredible atmosphere

Elmia Nordic Rail is the most important arena for the future of railways, where long-term business relationships are created. It’s a fantastic meeting-place that unites the entire railway industry.

“In all the years we’ve exhibited at the fair, there’s always been an incredible atmosphere and whether you’re there as an exhibitor or visitor, everyone’s there for the same reason. After all these years as exhibitors, no doubt we’ll continue to uphold this important tradition. After all, if you’re not visible, you may as well not exist,” he continues.

The fair generates new business

Everyone in the railway industry has an opportunity to gather in one place under one roof, rather than travelling the country to find profitable new business, and this is just one of the many benefits of Elmia Nordic Rail in Jönköping.

“We’ve attended the fair from almost day one, and this has resulted in long-term business and loyal customers who we still work with today. This is business we probably wouldn’t have won if it weren’t for our involvement in Elmia Nordic Rail. In addition, this year several of our customers across the Nordic region have asked if we’ll be exhibiting, which shows that there’s a lot of interest in visiting the fair,” says Lindberg.

AWI Maskin AB was established in 1983, 40 years ago, and during the most important fair of the year it wants to go big and celebrate the company’s successes.

“This is an extra special year for us to be an exhibitor because we’re celebrating our 40th anniversary. Without giving too much away, there will be lots of exciting things happening at our large stand, and we’re convinced that they’ll be popular with visitors. Visitors will have to wait until the fair to find out more – but it will be worth the wait,” Lindberg concludes.
