Erteco: Paving the way for a sustainable plastics industry
Erteco Rubber & Plastics AB, one of the Nordics' largest distributors of plastic and rubber raw materials, invests heavily in sustainability. During Elmia Subcontractor, the company's CEO, Niklas Lindberg, head of sustainability Henrik Carlberg and board member Fanny Wallér, will share the company's efforts to meet the increasing demand for sustainable materials - without compromising on quality and performance.

With a growing global focus on climate and environment, Erteco has positioned itself as a pioneer in sustainable plastic solutions. The company offers innovative materials from leading manufacturers that both reduce environmental impact and meet, or exceed, the technical requirements set by customers. Through these efforts, Erteco has taken great steps forward.

– We see a huge demand for both recycled (chemically or mechanically) and bio-based materials. Our customers are looking for solutions that not only meet technical specifications, but also contribute to a more sustainable product. For us, it's about finding the right balance between environmental requirements and the customers' demands for quality and performance, something we achieve through our wide range of sustainable material alternatives, says Niklas.

Innovative Tech Center

One of the company's greatest strengths is their Tech Center, where innovation and technical expertise meet. By offering technical advice, material simulations and tailor-made solutions, Erteco helps its customers to both optimize and adapt their products for sustainability.

– Our Tech Center allows us to work closely with our customers and develop solutions that are adapted to their unique needs. We combine advanced material technology with our expertise in the plastics and rubber industry to offer products that meet the highest standards of durability and performance. An example of this is the possibility of replacing heavy metal components with lighter and more environmentally friendly plastic materials, which often leads to both improved results and reduced material consumption, Niklas continues.

The future of the plastics industry - increased demand for sustainable solutions

Erteco predicts that the global demand for sustainable plastic materials will increase in the future. The company is already actively working to expand its network of suppliers and develop more sustainable options to meet the needs of its customers.

– The demand for bio-based and recycled materials is growing, and we already see that certain raw materials may become scarce as more companies seek these alternatives. The biggest challenge is to find materials that meet the high technical requirements for various applications, while at the same time making the application more sustainable, says Niklas.

Elmia Subcontractor – an important arena for future solutions

For Erteco, Elmia Subcontractor is one of the year's most important fairs in Sweden. The fair gives the company a platform to showcase its innovations and strengthen relationships with both new and existing customers.

– Elmia Subcontractor is a fantastic opportunity for us to make contacts, meet our customers and showcase our latest materials and solutions. We have participated for many years and look forward to participating again. This year we will also participate on stage and discuss how we invest in sustainability and drive innovation in the plastics industry, concludes Niklas.

On November 13 at 12:30-12:50 Fanny Wallér, Henrik Carlberg and Niklas Lindberg will take the main stage to share their insights on sustainable plastic solutions and how to combine environmental awareness with high product quality.
