Cloud manufacturing company, Fractory, one of Estonia’s famed high-growth startup businesses, is taking part in Elmia Subcontractor from November 15 – 17. Fractory is an automated on-demand manufacturing platform connecting engineering and manufacturing companies. It is well established in Nordic and Baltic countries and in the last two years has been successfully expanding in the UK. It operates from bases in Estonia, Finland and England. Earlier this year, from Chicago, Illinois, Fractory began trading across the Midwest. And in September, with its supplier network established across the country, it began offering its automated manufacturing procurement service across the United States. Fractory connects engineering companies to production capacity online, providing instant access to manufacturing processes - including laser, sheet and tube cutting and CNC machining. It improves efficiency, accessibility and quality. Through its cloud-manufacturing platform which offers on-demand fabrication services online, Fractory saves time and money and makes manufacturing more sustainable. The engineering companies might be looking for individual parts or for larger projects of serious complexity. They may want thousands of these pieces or even just a one-off, from scale and series to prototyping. Fractory’s customers include some of the world’s biggest companies. “Fractory’s built by engineers for engineers,” says Martin Vares. “Every function is run by people with engineering expertise, which has allowed us to create something that users value and come back to on a regular basis.” Since inception, Fractory has demonstrated average annual growth of 300% and employee number growth of 250%.
