Scanstrip and Bångbro Strip Steel offer a complete concept for strip steel and plate, which includes plant deliveries, warehousing, precision machining and logistics centers. With headquarters in Höllviken and production facility with warehouse in Kopparberg, they work closely together to ensure efficient and fast deliveries to customers throughout Scandinavia and in other nearby markets.
– We deliver tailor-made solutions in strip steel and sheet metal, optimally designed to suit our customers' specific production processes and products, while minimizing waste. Since 1987, we have built strong partnerships and delivered high-quality materials to customers in Scandinavia, Finland, the Baltics and other markets, says Peter Möller, technical director at Scanstrip and CEO of Bångbro Strip Steel.
An important priority for the company is sustainability. They work with sustainable transport solutions and optimize their logistics processes through two large logistics centers. A large part of the transport from Germany takes place by train, which is part of their effort to reduce their climate footprint.
– We prioritize train transport to reduce our environmental impact. Our logistics strategy, together with our work according to ISO 14001 and Agenda 2030, are central parts of our sustainability work. We see it as crucial to optimize the entire chain to reach the most sustainable solutions, says Peter.
During Elmia Subcontractor 2024, the companies will, among other things, highlight their electrostrip steel, a product designed to meet the growing demand in electrification and green technology. Electrical strip steel is used for energy generation and transmission and is used in, among other things, generators, electric motors and magnets.
– Elmia Subcontractor is one of the most important meeting places for our industry. Here we meet both customers and suppliers and can display our entire product range. Several of our employees from both Scanstrip and Bångbro Strip Steel will be present. The fair also gives us an opportunity to highlight how our solutions can contribute to the green transition, and we look forward to establishing new collaborations around electrical strip steel, says Peter.
To meet the challenges of the future, collaboration is essential. Scanstrip and Bångbro Strip Steel see partnership as a key to increasing efficiency and developing more sustainable products and processes. Through close collaborations within the entire value chain, companies can not only improve production, but also contribute to a more sustainable future.
– For us, it is important to find the best sustainable solutions for the entire production chain. By working together, we can reduce waste, optimize production and create a future where both we and our customers can make long-term sustainable choices, concludes Peter.
