Two minutes before the fair closed

Fredrik Hjalmarsson, Sales Manager at Plast AB Orion, looks back on the company's long history of trade fair participation. Being part of Elmia Subcontractor gives them the chance to make contacts with both existing and potential customers. 

– We have been attending Elmia Subcontractor for many years, and each fair offers a great chance to meet our customers face to face. Making new contacts and discussing future projects is invaluable. This year we will also be exhibiting together with our sister company, Plastinject AB, which gives us even more opportunities to broaden our offering, says Fredrik. 

Unexpected business  

Face-to-face meetings can lead to unexpected and significant business opportunities. Plast AB Orion experienced just that a few years ago at Elmia Subcontractor. 

– One of our most memorable experiences from Elmia Subcontractor occurred when we were visited by a potential customer just two minutes before the fair closed. That conversation led to a long-term business relationship, and today the customer is one of our largest. It's unexpected opportunities like this that make the fair so important and motivate us to return every year, says Fredrik. 

Focus on sustainability and innovation 

In recent years, Plast AB Orion has made significant investments in sustainability, including the use of recycled plastics and renewable energy from wind turbines. 

– We are proud of our commitment to sustainability, which we see as crucial for both our business and our planet. This year, we will present a major innovation: our sister company has invested in an impressive 2800 tonne injection moulding machine. This machine will increase our production capacity and allow us to manufacture even more complex and sustainable products, Fredrik continues. 

A shared future
