This year's theme: AI and innovation for the future of forestry

At Elmia Wood 2025, we highlight the importance of AI and innovations for future forestry. By showing how new technology interacts with sustainable methods and streamlines forestry, we create a platform to discuss and show how technological advances can strengthen both competitiveness and sustainability.

For 50 years, Elmia Wood has been a leading meeting place for the forestry industry, where innovations and new solutions have been presented and changed forestry. This year we are celebrating our 50th anniversary and focusing extra on innovation and technology this year therefore feels like a natural choice.

Through our theme, we highlight how the labour force of the future, new technology and sustainability interact to create efficient and competitive forestry. Technology also allows us to collect and analyse data that can inform future planning and decision-making, making it possible to create more precise and sustainable forestry solutions.

AI and innovation at the fair

At the fair, we will have an innovation square, seminars and demos with AI technology that exemplify how new technology can help keep costs down, reduce energy consumption and streamline processes such as thinning and forest planning.

We look forward to continuing to be the focal point where innovation, research and technology meet to shape the future of forestry.
