Horse power in the forest - driving and showing
The Swedish Horse Drivers' Association will be on site for driving and demonstration with work horses. Here you can see how horses can be used to drive timber out of the forest - a method that works well in sensitive environments or where machines have difficulty getting through.
You will have the opportunity to see the teams in action, talk to them and learn more about how horse power is still used in today's forestry. Horse-drawn carriage rides are also part of our forestry heritage and a way to keep the tradition alive.
