A cultural treasure in the forest - the history of forestry machines available again
The development of forestry is a story of innovation, machine power and people's stubborn desire to improve. Just in time for Elmia Wood's 50th anniversary, we are now reopening the esteemed database of historical material on forestry machines - a digital cultural treasure for all machine enthusiasts.

Since 1975, Elmia Wood has been a natural meeting place for the entire forestry chain. Here, new ideas have been launched, technology has been demonstrated in a forest environment and industry players have met, year after year. The fair has played an important role in the development of forestry - not least by showcasing the machines that have improved the efficiency of work in the forest for several generations.

We are now celebrating Elmia Wood's 50th anniversary. In relation to the anniversary, we are proud to once again open a part of our common history: the digital database with brochures, service manuals and other documents from 1955 onwards.

The database is the result of a collaboration between Elmia Wood and Jimmi Svensson - a passionate collector with a unique archive of forestry machine documentation. Thanks to his work and willingness to share, we can now offer a window into the development of forestry machinery over the decades.

Here you will find everything from classic brochures with proud machine launches to detailed manuals used in everyday work in the forest. An invaluable resource for enthusiasts, forestry professionals and anyone who wants to understand the journey forestry has taken.

Explore the database here and travel back in time.

We wish you a pleasant journey through the history of forestry machines - and a warm welcome to celebrate 50 years with Elmia Wood on 5-7 June 2025!
